My name is Edouard. I am the founder of Tree Nerds.

I am a lover of the outdoors, and as such have always held a deep affinity and respect for trees. A native of California, I never fully appreciated the difficultly of the Colorado climate for trees to become established and thrive. Back in 2021 I wanted to learn more, so I became a Community Forester through The Park People. Since that time, I have volunteered with them to educate, advocate and plant trees.

My time volunteering has helped me hone in on this passion, which is to ensure the long-term health of Denver’s tree canopy.  There is no denying that Denver’s trees are an integral part of our ecosystem and add so much richness to our quality of life.

I am saddened to walk around my neighborhood and see preventable mistakes made with young trees, due to lack of knowledge or bad information. I want to play a role in changing that.
